After 40 years, Fancy Farm lost its only hardware store in 2018. For four years, locals had to go all the way to Mayfield to buy so much as a hammer. It became clear we needed a place right here in town where folks could get that one nut, bolt, or tool to keep a project moving without spending an hour to get it. Ryan Wilson and his family saw the community’s need and with the help of the Kentucky Small Business Development Center in Paducah, was fortunate to be in a position to open Fancy Farm Hardware at the same location that had served the town for decades.
